Sure, February has an extra day this year, but it still can’t compare to March entertainment-wise. From a record-breaking concert film to the return of a nostalgic cartoon favourite, Disney+ is delivering the treats in Easter, Ramadan and Passover month.

Out of interest, already screening are the massively acclaimed Shogun, as well as the surprise addition of Taika Waititi’s underdog soccer tale (and true story) Next Goal Wins. Plus, of returning shows, check out Season 2 of adults-only British superhero comedy Extraordinary, from 6 March.

Queens (Documentary series)

March is also International Women’s Month, and to celebrate, there’s Nat Geo Wild documentary Queens, made by a female-led production team from around the world, and narrated by Angela Bassett. Seven-part Queens explores six powerful sisterhoods within the animal kingdom, focusing on the natural world’s most fascinating matriarchal societies: hyenas, elephants, ring-tailed lemurs, insects, primates and orcas. The final episode celebrates the women who have dedicated their lives to documenting and protecting these animals.

Watch Queens from 5 March on Disney+, and 10 March via National Geographic channel.

Death and Other Details (Series)

For fans of Only Murders in the Building, Knives Out, and Hercule Poirot, there’s murder mystery Death and Other Details. When she becomes the primary suspect for a murder on a lavish Mediterranean ocean liner, brilliant and restless Imogene Scott (Violett Beane) must crack the case to prove her innocence. That means teaming up with Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin), the world’s greatest detective.

Watch all ten episodes from 5 March.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) (Documentary Film)

Another great choice for International Women’s Month. Here’s your chance to watch Taylor Swift’s smash hit concert tour film… with a few additions, namely the song Cardigan and four additional acoustic tracks. Whether you’re a Swiftie or not, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) gives viewers a front row seat to the cultural phenomenon which has grossed more than $260 million at the global box office.

Watch Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) from 15 March.

X-Men ’97 (Animated Series)

Nineties kids and teens rejoice. Fan-favourite X-Men: The Animated Series is getting a decades-later sequel in the form of Marvel Studios’ X-Men ’97. With the return of many of the original voice actors, and an art style in line with the original cartoon, X-Men ’97 continues directly on from where we left the mutant superheroes years ago. With founder Charles Xavier dead, the team faces a host of new challenges.

Watch all 10 episodes of X-Men ’97 (Season 1) from 20 March. P.S. Season 2 is already greenlit.

Renegade Nell (Series)

Squeezing in some more women-led entertainment before the end of the month is historical adventure Renegade Nell, out of England. From Happy Valley and Gentleman Jack creator Sally Wainwright, and starring Louisa Harland, Nick Mohammed, and Joely Richardson, Renegade Nell centres on a woman who goes on the run after being framed for murder and, with the aid of some magic, becomes a notorious 18th Century highway robber.
