It is an eerily quiet week for new streaming releases, but we do get new Harlan Coben series I Will Find You, and Samara Weaving/Jason Segel action comedy Over Your Dead Body.

SERIES

The Polygamist

12 June 2026 – Netflix

Adapted from Sue Nyathi’s acclaimed novel of the same name, The Polygamist is billed by Netflix as its “biggest South African telenovela yet”. This 22-episode drama series debuts today and stars Gugu Gumede and Sdumo Mtshali as Joyce and Jonasi Gomora, a power couple who in public appear to have it all, but who are in fact on the verge of coming apart. A self-made CEO, Jonasi has built a business empire with his wife by his side but with secret mistresses in his bed. When Jonasi’s choices force Joyce to take action, it results in dangerous times for all involved.

I Will Find You

18 June 2026 – Netflix

Netflix has built up a hugely popular library of adaptations of the work of American thriller novelist Harlan Coben, and the newest addition to that ever-increasing list is I Will Find You. Taking a slightly different route to the screen, this wasn’t another published novel that Netflix picked up but instead Coben himself approached Netflix about turning it into a series while he was still writing it. Given the success of all the other collaborations between the author and the streamer, I’m sure this one was a no-brainer to greenlight as well. I Will Find You stars Sam Worthington as David Burroughs, a father serving a life sentence in prison for the heinous crime of murdering his own son, despite his maintained claim to innocence. When his sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower) uncovers a recent photo seems to show his son, Matthew (Ashton Cressman), alive, it forces David into action. With nobody believing his story, David will have to just break out of prison and find his boy, proving that he is not the murderer he’s been labelled as.

MOVIES

Over Your Dead Body

10 June 2026 – Prime Video

Marriage can be hard. There are days where you feel like you could just murder your spouse… but metaphorically, of course. Not literally like Dan (Jason Segel) planned to do to his wife Lisa (Samara Weaving) while the dysfunctional couple had retreated to a secluded cabin for some private time. Unfortunately for Dan, he wasn’t the only one with lethal tendencies as Lisa was planning to kill him as well. That is already a complicated enough set up but things get really twisted when escaped convicts crash their getaway, forcing the duo to have to work together if they want to stay alive long enough to kill each other!

I Am Frankelda

12 June 2026 – Netflix

I’m a simple man. I see stop-motion animation and I click. Written and directed by Mexican filmmakers Arturo and Roy Ambriz, musical dark fantasy film I Am Frankelda is a prequel to animated series Frankelda: Book of Spooks. Set in 19th-century Mexico, it follows Frankelda, a gifted writer whose dark tales are ignored and dismissed. Forced to suppress her voice, she refuses to give up, even as many try to silence her. But when she is thrust into her subconscious, the very monsters she created come to life. Guided by Herneval, a tormented prince trapped between dreams and nightmares, she must restore balance between fiction and reality before both realms collapse. Meanwhile, the sinister writer Procustes and his conspirators plot to seize control. As Frankelda and Herneval grow closer, their bond becomes both a strength and a curse. To rewrite their fate, she must confront a love that defies existence and reclaim her power as a storyteller before dark forces consume her imagination and reveal horrors beyond her creation.
