If you want to sum up this November on Disney+ in two words, it’s “returning favourites,” as the month is less about new film and series debuts, and more about fresh seasons for established hits… barring one highly anticipated debut.
Before we jump into our top picks for the coming weeks, just a reminder that the live-action Moana (with Dwayne Johnson) sneaked onto the streamer on 21 October.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians S3 (Series)
Percy Jackson and The Olympians, based on the beloved book series by Rick Riordan, returns this month, adapting The Titan’s Curse for the third season of this Greek Mythology-influenced fantasy actioner. With a war between the Olympians and Titans brewing, young demigod Percy (Walker Scobell), the son of Poseidon, must embark on a perilous journey to rescue classmate and love interest Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) when she’s abducted by the forces of Kronos. Look out for Kate McKinnon joining the cast as goddess of love, Aphrodite.
Percy Jackson and The Olympians Season 3 debuts on 20 November with two episodes. The remaining six episodes will drop in weekly pairs through to 11 December.
All’s Fair Season 2 (Series)
Ryan Murphy’s all-star legal comedy drama All’s Fair was dragged over the coals by critics when it debuted in November last year. Audiences must have been watching the consciously trashy show, though, because Season 2 is here. Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close all return in this slap- and catfight-filled season, where the all-woman divorce firm of Grant, Ronson & Greene face shifting alliances, scandals and a shocking revelation that may destroy the practice.
All’s Fair S2 premieres on 4 November with three episodes, and the eight-episode season will have weekly episode drops through to 2 December.
The Remarried Empress (Series)
For something less cynical about matters of love, but no less glitzy, there’s new K-Drama The Remarried Empress. Based on the hit Webtoon, the series is a fantasy romance that follows beloved Empress of the Eastern Empire Navier (Shin Mina), whose world is shaken when her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Jihoon), falls in love with runaway slave Rashta (Lee Seyoung) and brings her back to the palace as his courtesan. With Sovieshu keen for a divorce, Navier finds a solution of her own: permission to marry rival Prince Heinrey (Lee Jongsuk) of the Western Kingdom.
The Remarried Empress premieres on Disney+ on 4 November with four episodes. Its 10-episode first season finishes is run on 25 November.
Thanksgiving Football (Sports)
Thanksgiving isn’t a thing in South Africa, of course, but an appreciation of crunching sporting action certainly is. And with Disney+ giving sports fans the chance to watch ESPN channels live, come 27 November, locals will be able to check out some mega NFL games. The day’s highly anticipated clashes are:
- Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears
- Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles
- Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs
