No tricks, only treats – both familiar and fresh – on Disney+ this month. Returning favourites include Season 2 (already?) of the Scrubs revival on 1 October; plus Season 8 of reality smash hit The Kardashians, which kicks off its weekly episode drops on 8 October. As for new entertainment attractions, you’ll find our top picks below.

Africa Earth’s Wild Home (Documentary Series)
New month, new National Geographic event series. Narrated by Wunmi Mosaku, Africa Earth’s Wild Home brings African wildlife and landscapes to the screen like never before. Captured over the course of four years in almost 30 countries, the series takes viewers deep into the heart of the world’s wildest continent, spotlighting the animals, varied ecosystems, and people watching over them in more detail than ever before. Footage includes the elusive black rain frog, hyenas hunting elephants at night, and chimpanzees using tools to fish for algae.
Watch Africa Earth’s Wild Home in its seven-part entirety from 3 October. You can also stream the first full episode here to provide a taste of the show.
Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger (Documentary Film)
Fronted by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, British indie rock band Oasis dominated the music scene in the 1990s, and became synonymous with the Britpop era. However, it was a rocky road for the group, which was to eventually disband dramatically in 2009. That wasn’t the end of the story, though, and, with tempers cooled, Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger charts triumphant reunion tour, Oasis Live ‘25. The concert film includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access, as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over twenty years.
Watch Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger from 9 October.
VisionQuest (MCU Limited Series)
Hands down our top recommendation for the month is Marvel miniseries VisionQuest. Continuing the story begun in WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along, VisionQuest sees powerful android Vision (Paul Bettany) rebooted and in hiding from those who would weaponise him. He’s forced out of the shadows, though, when he learns of Thomas Shepard (Ruaridh Mollica), a mysterious boy who may be his and Wanda’s son reincarnate. Vision’s rescue mission, and quest for sense of self, means turning to the AI personas embedded in his programming, including treacherous Ultron (James Spader).
VisionQuest premieres on 14 October with the first two of its eight episodes.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS (Documentary Film)
Oasis aren’t the only music icons getting a movie deep dive this month. Eighty-minute KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS explores the meteoric rise to success of global girl group Katseye over the course of the past two years. Dynamic on-stage footage and dance choreography is peppered with interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments from important points in their career, covering both the highs and the lows.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS premieres on Disney+ on 16 October.
Phony (Series)
Ticking the box for something a little creepy and mysterious (with a dash of comedy), for Halloween month is Phony. The Hulu series is a coming-of-age tale of a teenager (Sam Nivola) who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident to discover that his mother (Connie Britton), with whom he’s always had a close relationship, appears to have been replaced by an impostor. Aided by his friends, he sets out to uncover what’s really going on.
Phony premieres on 20 October.
