Apart for Indian actioner Jawan, just one other new film is hitting South African cinemas this week: action thriller The Equalizer 3.
Denzel Washington is back as Robert McCall, a retired American operative turned vigilante who surprisingly finds himself at peace, and at home, in Southern Italy. That is, until he discovers his new friends are at the mercy of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become a community protector by taking on the Sicilian Mafia.
The rest of the cast of The Equalizer 3 includes Dakota Fanning, David Denman, Sonia Ammar, and Remo Girone. Meanwhile, Antoine (Training Day) Fuqua is back in the director’s chair for his third Equalizer outing – which reportedly will cap off the gritty R-rated trilogy.
