Who am I?

Well, I’m not Noelle Adams, the romance novelist. Hence the inclusion of the K in my name.

I’m Noelle K. Adams, a professional writer with over a decade of advertising and digital agency experience (as a copywriter, strategist, proofer and community manager).

In addition, I’ve worked for the past 2 years as an English teacher in Japan – really honing my communication fundamentals, while coming up with game and activity ideas on a daily basis. Before that, I also enjoyed part-time stints as a travel company webmaster, gaming columnist, film reviewer and team-building facilitator.

At this point in my career, after writing about everything from bearings to baby skincare, I want to re-orientate myself specifically towards content creation for electronic media industries.

As you may have guessed, this pfangirl has an especial interest in film, comics, gaming, cosplay and the life-enhancing passion of fandoms. Along with technical skills, I also have meaningful content creation in my blood: alongside my day job I’ve maintained an award-nominated Pop Culture blog for 11 years, ran a gaming web comic from 2004 to 2015, and completed a popular 120 000-word piece of fanfiction last year.

My ultimate dream would be to write tie-in novels and other material for Pop Culture franchises. And I’d love some kind of writing job in the games industry. Marketing, narrative design, documentation creation, straight-up script-writing; even voice-over casting and direction – I believe my Jack of all trades versatility allows me to slot in wherever needed.

I know how to factor strategic principles into my work.

I know how to collaborate with a team.

I know how to run with a project on my own.

And I definitely know how to stick to a brief and deadline.

Plus, with dual South African and British citizenship, I am ready to work visa-free in the UK (and, currently, the EU).

Please get in touch so we can talk further.
