It’s another series heavy list of streaming releases this week, led by the return of Monsterverse spinoff Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall getting steamy in Vladimir, and Tracy Morgan/Daniel Radcliff’s new comedy from the creators of 30 Rock.
SERIES
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters S2
27 February 2025 – Apple TV+
The monsters are back! With almost exactly one year still left before Godzilla x Kong: Supernova stomps into theatres, fans of the Monsterverse will at least still be able to get their kaiju juju thanks to the return of Apple’s spinoff TV series. Split across two eras – the 1950s during the early discovery of Godzilla, and more contemporary in the wake of 2015’s Godzilla – this multigenerational saga fills in some of the gaps of the Monarch vs Apex Cybernetics corporate tussle plotline that plays through all these movies. Early reviews for S2 are pretty good, with many pointing out that the writing linking the two time periods together is a lot tighter this season, allowing things to move at a strong pace. Helping to drive that action is the fact that, besides Godzilla and Kong, there’s a new and dangerous monster on the block named Titan X and it’s not playing around.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive S8
27 February 2025 – Netflix
Netflix’s premier sports documentary season is a back with another in-depth look at the high speed, high stakes, and highly dramatic world of Formula 1 racing. The latest season of the show tackles all the incredible craziness of the 2025 season as McLaren’s amazing return to the front of the grid saw drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris seemingly snatch the crown away from Red Bull’s longtime reigning champion Max Verstappen with absolute ease. Except, this wouldn’t be Formula 1 if everything always went to plan. Drive to Survive will take us behind the scenes and give us unprecedented access to the people involved in some of motorsports’ most dramatic plot twists.
Vanished S1
27 February 2026 – Prime Video
Given what happened to her in The Flight Attendant, you would think Kaley Cuoco would no better than getting involved with men in European cities! Vanished is a new mystery drama series that stars Cuoco as Alice, a young woman on a romantic getaway with her boyfriend Tom (Sam Claflin) in Paris. Their perfect holiday takes a dark – and seemingly impossible – turn though when Tom suddenly disappears from right beside her on a moving train to Marseilles. As Alice frantically tries to uncover where Tom has disappeared to, a more frightening question starts to rise up: Who was Tom really? With each discovery leading her deeper into a deadly conspiracy, Alice starts to realize that her boyfriend is not the man she thought he was at all.
The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins S1
4 March 2026 – Showmax
With rave reviews across the board, 30 Rock creator Robert Carlock has seemingly recaptured the comedic magic of his much-beloved former show with new mockumentary series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. 30 Rock alum Tracy Morgan plays the titular role, a disgraced former American football star who is looking to rehabilitate his image and put him back on the A-list. To achieve that, he’s brought in the help of Oscar-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Daniel Radcliffe) to prove he’s not as bad as the press makes him out to be, by documenting his crazy life. What could go wrong?
Vladimir S1
5 March 2026 – Netflix
No, this new eight-episode dramedy series has nothing to do with a certain Russian president. In fact, it could not be more different, despite the name. Adapted by Julia May Jonas from her own book of the same name, this subversive and sexy series sees Rachel Weisz as a once-breakout-writer-turned-middling-educator who feels she’s plateaued in both her personal and professional life: Her husband (John Slattery) no longer appears to desire her sexually, and the students of the class she teaches no longer seem captivated by her lessons. And into this increasingly morose life steps Vladimir Vladinsky (Leo Woodall). A hotshot young writer, just like she once was, who joins her faculty and immediately sweeps her up in a maelstrom of unhinged sexiness and borderline obsession that threatens to unravel her entire world… and she’s definitely into it.

Dangerous Animals
27 February 2026 – Showmax
Every few years, Hollywood tries to make an actor into a big deal, but just like “fetch”, it’s never going to happen. One such prospect was Jai Courtney. It’s almost universally agreed that the Aussie actor failed to capitalize on his breakout role in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, but every once in a while, he puts out a surprisingly fun performance, almost always as some kind of unhinged bad guy. And that’s exactly what he’s doing in Dangerous Animals. The nail-biting survival horror thriller sees Courtney playing a shark-obsessed serial killer, who abducts a savvy and free-spirited surfer. Held captive on his boat, she must figure out how to escape before he feeds her to the sharks below in some twisted ritual.
