Netflix Limited Series releases 6 November
Death by Lightning is a drama series that brings to life the epic and stranger-than-fiction true story of James Garfield, reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his greatest admirer Charles Guiteau — the man who would come to kill him. Death by Lightning stars Michael Shannon, Matthew Macfadyen, Nick Offerman, Betty Gilpin, Bradley Whitford and Shea Whigham.
Frankenstein
Netflix Film releases 7 November
The highly anticipated adaptation from Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro hits Netflix screens this month after a short cinema un to ensure it’s in award season contention. Adapting Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation. Starring Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, with Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz.
The Beast in Me
New series releases 13 November
Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes) has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.
A Man on the Inside
Season 2 releases 20 November
A new series of feel-good comedy is on its way! From The Good Place creator Michael Schur, A Man on the Inside follows retired professor Charles Nieuwendyk (Ted Danson) after he answers a help wanted ad to go undercover inside a San Francisco retirement home, in the process gaining a new lease on life. In season 2, Charles is eager to take on another big undercover case and gets his chance when a mysterious blackmailer targets Wheeler College president Jack Berenger (Max Greenfield), who enlists Charles to go undercover as a professor.
Jingle Bell Heist
Film releases 25 November
There has to be at least one Christmas film on the list! Sophia (Cloak & Dagger’s Olivia Holt), a sharp-witted retail worker, and Nick (Sex Education’s Connor Swindells), a down-on-his-luck repairman, are small-time thieves with their eyes on the same Christmas Eve score: robbing London’s most notorious department store. Forced into an uneasy alliance, as secrets surface and feelings for each other deepen, Sophia and Nick put their relationship and the heist in jeopardy.
Stranger Things
