Cold out there. Hot in here. That’s June on Disney+ in South Africa, with a strong line-up of headline-making series, movies and documentaries. And there are almost always surprise additions, so keep an eye on that New to Disney+ category within the app to stay on top of the latest entertainment offerings.

P.S. Before you check out Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning on the big screen, know that you can now watch the first six films in the Tom Cruise action series (that’s everything except Dead Reckoning) on Disney+ as of 1 June.

Predator: Killer of Killers (Animated Film)

Before Predator: Badlands arrives in cinemas in November, fans of science-fiction survival thrills can enjoy a “secret” entry in the franchise, with Dan Trachtenberg once more at the helm (co-directing with Micho Robert Rutare). Taking its cue from massively successful Prey, animated Predator: Killer of Killers adopts an anthology format as it pits a Viking raider, Japanese ninja, and WWII pilot – all deadly opponents – against the ultimate extra-terrestrial killer in each character’s historical period. This one ain’t for kids.

Watch Predator: Killer of Killers from 6 June.

Ocean with David Attenborough (Documentary Feature)

Disney+ is debuting a handful of National Geographic documentaries in June, but the pick of the bunch is Ocean with David Attenborough, which debuts this World Ocean Day (and, coincidentally, Attenborough’s 99th birthday). The biologist and broadcaster introduces audiences to Earth’s most spectacular underwater habitats, highlighting the importance of our oceans but also delivering a surprising message of hope about their survival.

Watch Ocean with David Attenborough from 8 June.

Ironheart (Limited Series)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting another small screen addition in the form of Ironheart. Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, genius inventor Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) returns to her hometown of Chicago and sets out to make her own hi-tech suit of armour. However, for that to happen, she needs the help of morally dubious Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), AKA The Hood, leading to a dramatic showdown between tech and magic.

Ironheart launches on 25 June with three episodes. Thereafter, the remaining three episodes will release weekly.

The Bear S4 (Series)

Yes, Chef! FX’s The Bear is back with its fourth season. Mixing comedy, drama and a liberal sprinkling of stress, this new set of episodes (shot back-to-back with Season 3) sees the team of The Bear pushing forward, determined not only to survive, but also take their restaurant to the next level in the face of endless challenges. The ensemble is once more led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. For the record, The Bear has won 21 Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes to date.

All ten episodes of The Bear Season 4 are available from 26 June.
